Since 2020 I have joined the Evolutionary Anthropology Lab in the Institute for Evolutionary Sciences (Montpellier University, France).
I seek to understand the role of the environment, be it social, cultural or pathogenic, in shaping diversity in reproductive and non-reproductive health. Some of the questions I am currently interested in are :
To answer those questions, I use mixed methods (from the social sciences and biology) and analyse data from contrasted populations.
I also collaborate with partners from the digital world (Clue & BOOST Thyroid apps) and universities in India, Ethiopia and the UK.
Before joining CNRS, I was an Associate Professor in Biocultural Anthropology at the University of Oxford in the School of Anthropology and Museum Ethnography, and a Fellow of Harris Manchester College.
I serve as an associate editor for the journal Evolutionary Human Sciences and as a review editor for the journal frontiers in Reproductive Health.
